Congratulations to Steve Barlow - Purchasing Manager who completed this years London Marathon in a time of 3 hours 10 minutes. Steve an accomplished runner has completed many marathons and raised considerable money for charity.

An important visitor from Peru

Clayton Equipment were pleased to welcome a visit from their official agent in Peru, Mr Genaro Choucino. Genaro visited our manufacturing facility in England to discuss the development of our operations in Peru. We are constantly seeking improvements in service for our South America customer's and this year will see many changes for Clayton in South America.

An old friend returns

Clayton Equipment were pleased to welcome John Carrington into our works recently. John has been around Clayton locomotives for many years and still works with locomotives at the National Coal Mining Museum.

Clayton and Calibre united

Clayton Equipment are pleased to announce the signing of a formal agency agreement with Calibre Controls. Calibre will represent Clayton Equipment in Australia and New Zealand.

A new era in rail haulage automation

This week Clayton Equipment hosted the signing of an agreement between Calibre Controls and Minesteel Fabricators. This agreement will make Calibre the official agent for Minesteel fabricators in Australia. This agreement compliments the existing agreement between Clayton and Calibre and enables the three companies to offer a fully automated rail haulage system.

Olympic Dam Deal

Clayton Equipment are pleased to announce an order for 2 x 30t Automated Trolley Locomotives for BHP Billiton. These state of the art automated locomotives will strengthen the fleet of Clayton locomotives used by the prestigious Copper Uranium mine Olympic Dam.

Digital Control Interface

Clayton are pleased to offer our new digital drivers display console. This console offers the driver a clear view of the locomotive status. The display is available as a simple intereface giving speed, amps, voltages and error messages right through to full fault diagnosis and status indication. The image shown shows a current interface which is in development.

What does the industry want?

Clayton Equipment is proud to announce the launch of a revised Research and Development strategy for 2008.

Traditionally we have identified our own R&D needs for our products. 2008 marks the announcement of a new concept whereby the R&D projects to be completed by Clayton will be those which have been suggested from our clients.

Therefore, if you have ideas for the development of our rail haulage products then please contact us with your suggestions. If we choose to develop your suggestion then you will be informed of the progress of the project and will be invited to Clayton on completion.
